Privacy Policy

What are personal data?

Personal data refer to any information relating to an identified or identifiable data subject. A data subject is considered identified or identifiable if the data subject can be identified directly or indirectly, particularly by reference to a number, code, or one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural, or social identity.

Personal data thus include mainly the name, surname, address of the natural person, email, IP address, and may include information about the use of services or activities and preferences of the natural person. The protection of personal data is governed by Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended (the “Personal Data Protection Act”).

What is the processing of personal data?

Processing personal data means any operation or set of operations which is performed by the controller or processor systematically with personal data, whether by automated means or otherwise, such as collecting, storing on information carriers, making accessible, modifying or altering, retrieving, using, transferring, disseminating, publishing, preserving, exchanging, sorting or combining, blocking, and erasing.

Who is the controller or processor of personal data?

We are Lanot logistik s.r.o., IČO 44745133, based at Spoločenská 20 821 04 Bratislava.

We process your personal data as a controller, i.e., we determine how personal data will be processed and for what purpose, for how long, and select any additional processors who will assist us with the processing.

Contact details for the responsible person

If you wish to contact us during the processing of your data with any questions, you can reach us at +421 948 882 443 or via email at booking@gt.limo.

Scope of personal data and purposes of processing

We process personal data you provide to us for the following reasons (to fulfill these purposes):

  • Providing services, fulfilling contracts: We necessarily need your personal data in the scope of email, address, telephone number, name, and surname to fulfill the contract (e.g., delivery of goods, marketing offers, etc.).
  • Accounting: If you are a customer, we necessarily need your personal data (billing data) to comply with the legal obligation to issue and record tax documents.
  • Marketing – sending newsletters: We use your personal data (email and name) for direct marketing – sending business notifications. If you are our customer, we do so out of legitimate interest as we reasonably assume you are interested in our news, for up to 10 years from the last order. If you are not our customer, we send you newsletters only based on your consent, for up to 10 years from the granting of consent. In both cases, you can withdraw this consent using the unsubscribe link in each sent email.
  • Advanced marketing based on consent: Only with your consent can we also send inspiring offers from third parties or use your email address for remarketing and targeting ads on Facebook, for up to 10 years from the granting of consent. This can be revoked at any time via our contact details or using the unsubscribe link in each sent email.

We keep your personal data for the statute of limitations, unless the law prescribes a longer retention period or we have not stated otherwise in specific cases.

Cookies

When browsing our websites, we record your IP address, how long you stay on the page, and from which page you came. We see the use of cookies to measure website traffic and customize the display of web pages as our legitimate interest as a controller, as we believe we can offer you even better services through this.

Cookies for targeting ads will be processed only with your consent. You can browse our website in a mode that does not allow the collection of personal data. You can disable the use of cookies on your computer.

Security and protection of personal data

We handle your personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable legislation. We use automated and non-automated means to process personal data. All data are stored on secure servers located exclusively in the European Union. We protect personal data to the maximum extent possible using modern technologies that correspond to the level of technical development.

We have adopted and maintain all possible (currently known) technical and organizational measures that prevent misuse, damage, or destruction of your personal data, namely:

Provision of personal data to third parties

Our employees and collaborators have access to your personal data. To ensure specific processing operations that we cannot handle ourselves, we use the services and applications of processors who can protect data and specialize in data processing.

These processors are:

  • Facebook
  • Accounting firm
  • Our employees
  • Marketing department

In the future, we may decide to use other applications or processors to facilitate and improve processing. However, we promise that in such a case, we will place at least the legal requirements for security and processing quality on the processor.

Provision of personal data outside the EU

Any processing of personal data will be carried out exclusively within the EU.

Your rights in relation to the processing and protection of personal data

You have rights in connection with the protection of personal data. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us via email: booking@gt.limo.

  • Right to information: This information page with personal data processing principles fulfills this right.
  • Right to access: You can ask us at any time and we will provide you within 14 days with information about what personal data we process about you and why. If something changes or you find any of your personal data outdated or incomplete, you have the right to have the data supplemented and changed.
  • Right to restrict processing: You can use this right if you believe we are processing your inaccurate data, if you think we are processing illegally but do not want to delete all data, or if you have objected to processing. You can restrict the scope of personal data or purposes of processing. (For example, by unsubscribing from newsletters, you restrict the purpose of processing for sending business notifications.)
  • Right to data portability: If you want to take your personal data and transfer it to someone else, we will proceed the same way as for the right to access – with the difference that we will provide you with the information in a machine-readable format. We need at least XX days for this.
  • Right to erasure (to be forgotten): In such a case, we will delete all your personal data from our systems, as well as from the systems of all partial processors and backups. We need 30 days to secure the right to erasure.

In some cases, we are bound by a legal obligation, e.g., we must record issued tax documents for the period prescribed by law. In this case, we will delete all such personal data that are not bound by another law. We will inform you about the completion of the erasure by email.

Complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection

If you feel that we are not handling your data in accordance with the law, you have the right to file a complaint at any time with the Office for Personal Data Protection. We would be very pleased if you first inform us about this suspicion so we can do something about it and correct any mistakes.

Unsubscribing from newsletters and business notifications

We send emails with inspiration, articles, or product information and services if you are our customer based on our legitimate interest. If you are not yet a customer, we send you emails only based on your consent. In both cases, you can unsubscribe from our emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in each sent email.

Confidentiality

We assure you that our employees and collaborators who will process your personal data are obliged to maintain confidentiality about personal data and security measures, the disclosure of which would endanger the security of your personal data. This confidentiality continues even after the termination of our contractual obligations. Without your consent, your personal data will not be disclosed to any other third party.

These personal data processing principles apply from May 25, 2024.
